Chapter 1 Set Material

  • Input command: LAYER, usually we set one material to one layer, so it is suggested that we create different layers for different types of objects.
  • Input command: MATERIAL, open Layer Material Settings, we can set the reflection, sharpness, metallic, transparence, IOR and illumination. In the meanwhile, we can check the color/texture of the layers.
  • Select a layer, click Load from Library to open the Select Material for Layer dialog box. On the left is the material library where we can select different categories of materials. And in the middle is the details items of a specific material. On the right we can adjust the transparency and reflection of the item. Click Apply to finish the selection.
  • After apply and go back to Layer Material Settings dialog box, select a layer and click Edit or double click the Color/Texture to open the Material Settings for Layer, where we can setup reflection, sharpness, metallic, transparency, illumination, texture settings and etc.

Color or Texture:

  • Entity Color: the rendering effect is the color of entity.
  • Layer Color: the rendering effect is the color of layer.
  • Custom Color: the rendering effect is the chosen color.
  • Texture Image: the rendering effect is the chosen image.
  • Texture Settings: Used to adjust the width and height of image.


  • After setup the material, click the Reset button can reset all of material. Click Load to load the saved material list. Click Save to save the current setting material list.



Chapter 2 Lighting

  •  Input LIGHT command to open Place Light dialog box. We can select Omnidirectional Light or Spot Light. We can select the Sphere, Disk or Rectangle shape of light.

Omnidirectional Light:


Spot Light:


  •  Click the color selection box under the light shape, we can select the color of the light. In the Intensity, we can adjust the light intensity. Check Make bulb invisible when rendering, we can hide the light in the rendering effect.


  • In Beam Angle, we can adjust the extend of the light, bigger the angle is, the extend of beam is larger, as follows, the beam angle is set as 30°, 45° and 60°.


  • In size in mm, we can setup the radius, length and width of the light.



Chapter 3 Rendering

  • Lighting Presets

-Studio High Dynamic:


-Exterior With Sun:


-Interior With Sun:


-Interior No Sun:


-Sky With Background


  • Render Image Size: Choose the size of rendering effect, or customize it. Check use current view ratio can keep the current length and width ratio of the current view.


  • Render Quality: Select the rendering time to control the rendering quality, if the time is longer, then the rendering effect will be better.


  • Drawing units: adjust the units of material.


  • Options Settings:


Check Enable Artificial Lighting to open the artificial light.


Adjust the Light balance, the smaller the value, the omnidirectional light is stronger or the artificial light will be stronger.


- Stronger omnidirectional light


- The balance between the omnidirectional light and natural light


- Stronger artificial light


Background color: Select the background color, for example, select the blue color as background.


Ground Plane: Check “enable”, then input the Elevation, the rendering effect will display the elevation plane instead of background color.


Shadow Settings


- Latitude and longitude, adjust the value of latitude and longitude and the location of N, S, W and E to create the real place effect.

- Time Zone: adjust the value of time zone to create the real time effect.

-Daylight Savings: Summer time, in some countries they use summer time to save energy.

-North Offset:Control the offset angle from the north.

Return to the render dialog box, click start rendering to render.
