Issue:
Cursor disappears when using block editor as below shown:
Causes:
The cursor doesn't disappear, it's because the color of the cursor and the background is the same color, black.
The cursor is actual there, but you can't see them clearly because of the color.
Solution:
You can change the cursor color or the background color in Option→Display→Color dialog box,
