Function

The converter can convert the below file to xml file which can be imported into ZWCAD 2018/2019/2020

  • The xtp file from AutoCAD;
  • The xml file from ZWCAD+ 2015

ATTENTION:

  • The converter can only support to convert the user custom tool palette, it cannot convert the default tool palette.
  • You need to put the source drawing which is referred by the tool palette into its original path, or you can add the drawing path into the support file search path.

Steps

  • Preparation (important): put the XTP or XML file and related folder (the files that generated by tool palette export function) in the folder that you want it to be located, the folder in the same with XTP or XML file cannot be removed or deleted after conversion and importing. You can remove the XTP and XML file after importing TP to ZWCAD.
  • Run the tool.
  • Choose the tool palette file you want to convert (xtp file or xml file)
  • Specify a path to save the converted file or use the default settings (the default save path will be set as the same directory with the original file, and its default file name will add a suffix on the base of the original file name), we suggest to keep the default path.
  • Click Apply, and then OK, the tool palette file has been converted successfully. Now you can import the converted file into ZWCAD 2018/2019/2020 and then continue to use your custom tool palette.
  • Tips: for command, can use copy/paste to move it from default palette to user custom palette in ACAD, but for block or hatch, you need to drag into drawing, and then save the drawing then drag to the user custom palette, then it will generate the preview image when you export the palette.

Known issue:

  • Tool palette that included table & image won’t take effect even after the conversion. Because our tool palette cannot support those two types of tools for now.
  • Some icon which is unique in AutoCAD will be displayed as blank after the conversion, but the function is no problem.
