You may find there are options to set the default plot settings for new drawing. But after the setting and create a new drawing, the setting doesn't work.
Because the setting shoud base on 'No Template'. While executing NEW function, you can find a small downward arrow button beside Open button.
Then click it and you can create No Template drawing with the Default Plot Setting works.
