Both of the options “Bind” and “Insert” are used in conversion between x-ref and block objects. The main difference is the naming rule for elements such as “layer”, annotation”, “text”.

->Bind

When we attach the x-ref by “Bind”, the exited layers ( for example: layer1, layer2 ) in the original x-ref files would be re-named as “Drawing1$0$ Layer1” and Drawing1$0$ Layer2” once they’re pasted in the current drawing. That would be convenient for our users to trace the source of the x-ref files.

->Insert

When we attach the x-ref by “Insert”, the exited layers ( for example: layer1, layer2 ) in the original x-ref files would be identified directly as “Layer1” and “Layer2”.
