Applies to: All ZWCAD version
Sometime, customer installs ZWCAD successfully, but when open it, the crash problem will happen as following.
How to solve this problem?
1, try to open ZWCAD with administrator permission, delete the corresponding folder "%appdata%\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD" (like 2015 for ZWCAD 2015), open registry editor and delete the corresponding item such as "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2015".
Reboot pc and try to open ZWCAD.
2, If step 1 not working, try to open "ZwAuthHost.exe" in installation folder, if you can open it, continue with step 3. If cannot open it, there are some errors with .NET installation, try to install .NET separately in the corresponding package (with the .exe file in installation package). Remember to unzip the same version package you installed, then find the .net installer to install, if it reminds you that higher version already installed, then try to uninstall it first, then install this version.
3, If you can open "ZwAuthHost.exe" in step 2, open registry editor, locate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2015\en-US\Profiles\Default\Config", change the value of "Ribbon" to "0".
Since ZWCAD 2017, you cannot find Ribbon registry item, so you can change the value of "WSCurrent" to "ZWCAD Classic" instead in English version, for other language version, need to check whether the workspace name is localized or not, and input the corresponding name.
Reboot pc and try to open ZWCAD.
