Yes. Please find the OPT file in the NLM installation directory, and then add the following sentence in the OPT file (take ZWCAD_PRO as an example).
TIMEOUT ZWCAD_PRO 900
The feature ZWCAD_PRO may change, please check it on “zwflex.opt” file, for example, for ZWCAD2017 and ZWCAD 2018, the feature is ZW2D_PRO
900 means 900 seconds, equals to 15 min. This is the minimum setting, if you set the number smaller than this, then it will use 900 as default.
You can also set all features for ZWCAD, as below shown.
TIMEOUTALL 900
Then restart the service to make it take effect, this is very important.
Notice:
1. TIMEOUT function is only available on ZWCAD+2015 official or after version, and it is supported in ITC version also, but not for ZWCAD+2012 and ZWCAD+2014.
2. To make the modification on OPT file take effect, you need to reread license file in LMTOOLS as the first issue shown.
3. If there is floating license on the server available, when you run ZWCAD active again, it will try to communicate with the server and get the floating license again, so it seems as the floating license has never returned, but you can check the log file on the server, as below figure shown.
Time to check-out the floating license: when run the key commands like plot, it will trigger the communication with the server, or wait a specified time interval.
4. If the floating license is out because of the network disconnected or TIMEOUT (no floating license available on the server), ZWCAD is allowed to perform SAVE, EXPORT, PRINT and etc. operations for 10 times before the next time to get a new floating license, as the following screenshot shown.
