1.Purpose
Log parser, as a sales tool, is aiming to allow our partner to help customer analyze the network license usage, then to judge if needs to buy more and the proper quantity to add.
2.How to use
As the below shown, specify the log file and the result file directory, then run to get the result.
Date: continuous start from the first date to the end of date in log file, so the concurrent users may be ZERO.
Maximum Concurrent Users: the max quantity of in-use license (including floating and borrowed license) within the specify date.
Denied Users: the quantity of users have been denied (due to the license has been used up) within the specified date.
Please note this version only support NLM 11.12 or higher version, you can check this information from the log file or the LMTOOLS (Help->About).
If the log is lower version, then it will pop up a warning message, and we cannot assure of the correctness of the report data.
You can see the different functional version report from the excel sheet name, like below shown.
This tool can be localized easily just by translate the XML file (\Resource\language.xaml).
3.Notes
1)The tool can analyze the license types including: PRO\STD\EDU\JIXIE\JIANZHU\ZIW
2)This tool cannot distinguish different yearly version license, which means, the tool treat both ZWCAD+ 2012 and ZWCAD+ 2014 license as the same types, this is due to the log file doesn’t record this information.
3)This tool cannot recognize the floating license and borrowed one, they treat it as the same thing.
4)If customer re-starts the service before all borrowed license return back, then all those borrowed license will not be counted in this tool.
5)The log file can be cut to several ones, or join several one to one log file, but need to make sure the log file is started from service start, and the whole log file is continuous, no missing data.
