The system variable “XREFNOTIFY” would allow you to control:
0 Disables x-ref notification.
1 Enables x-ref notification. Notifies you that x-refs are attached to the current drawing by displaying the x-ref icon in the lower-right corner of the application window (the notification area of the status bar tray). In ZWCAD Classic, the message is the same as value "2".
Below is for ZWCAD+2015, which is correct.
2 Enables x-ref notification and balloon messages. Displaying way as the system variable set to 1. When the x-ref is changed, balloon messages still displayed in the same area. In ZWCAD+2015, the alerts is a little different(
